Bio-Age
Offset
Quantifying the gap between your chronological age and autonomic health via heart rate variability and aerobic intensity volume.
Vital Markers
Research Protocol: Autonomic Age Markers
RHR & Vagal Tone
Resting Heart Rate (RHR) is a critical proxy for parasympathetic nervous system health. For athletes over 50, a lower RHR is correlated with higher Vagal Tone. This diagnostic uses a baseline RHR of 65 BPM as the "Chronological Zero" for standard aging.
The Mitochondrial Multiplier
High-intensity work (Zone 4/5) drives mitochondrial biogenesis and stroke volume. Research suggests that consistent HIIT volume can effectively reverse age-related declines in VO2 Max, "re-wiring" the heart to a functional age 5–10 years younger than sedentary controls.
Diagnostic Disclaimer: Bio-age is a performance estimation. Factors like caffeine intake, sleep deprivation, and acute overreaching can artificially inflate RHR. Always measure RHR immediately upon waking for diagnostic consistency.
